http://bit.ly/IqSKCP I found this article rather scary, I had visions of the future. I could see the future of this technology and why it is being deployed now in its unrefined state. The music industry has realised it has been beaten by the Internet. I’m not going to get into how much the music industry makes millions of the back of recording artists, or whether piracy or copyright is right or wrong. I just intend to point out that the music industry seems to have a contingency plan; live music still makes loads of money and can’t be pirated as easily, we can make even more money if the artist is dead and we can just use holograms. It sounds so cynical to say that, but it is exactly what I saw in my lucid flash of the dark distant future. We all know who’s next too; Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse, Elvis, John Lennon, every single other dead popular singer song-writer and their entire greatest hits! Performing LIVE ON STAGE IN EVERY VENUE ALL THE TIME ANY TIME 24/7! No entourage, no limos, no rehearsals, no blue m&ms. Always on time, always pitch perfect, it’s every music industry executive’s panacea. There is always a theory.
